Advisory & Digital Transformation
Strategy that survives contact with execution.
From digital strategy and value definition to enterprise diagnostics, future-state architecture, and transformation leadership — we help enterprises move from ambition to outcomes through structured methodologies, disciplined governance, and senior advisors who stay until it works.

Most transformations don't fail at the strategy. They fail at the seam between strategy and delivery.
Most enterprises don't lack a transformation agenda. They have too many — competing initiatives, unclear ownership, deck after deck of future-state vision, and a delivery org that's already at capacity.
Strategies written in isolation from operations. Programs launched without a clear value baseline. Architectures designed for the technology, not the business. PMOs that report on tasks but not outcomes. ERP and enterprise system rollouts that go live but don't get adopted. These aren't edge cases — they're the norm.
Orion's Advisory & Digital Transformation practice exists to close that gap. We work alongside leadership across the full lifecycle — from defining the digital strategy and value case, to running structured diagnostics across people, process, and platform, to architecting the future state, to leading the transformation programme through to adoption and sustained outcomes.
Whether you're framing your first transformation agenda or recovering a programme that has lost its way, we bring the methodology, the senior advisory presence, and the delivery discipline to make it real — and make it stick.

Four pillars. One end-to-end transformation capability.
Digital Strategy & Value Definition
Frame the transformation agenda, define the measurable value case, and align leadership on the priorities that actually move the business. We work with executive teams to translate ambition into a structured, defensible strategy.
Diagnostics & Performance Assessment
Run a structured diagnostic across people, process, platform, physical, and paperwork dimensions to surface root-cause performance gaps. Establish an objective baseline that grounds every downstream decision in evidence, not opinion.
Architecture & Future-State Design
Design the future-state operating model, business architecture, and technology landscape that the strategy demands. Translate the vision into an architected, sequenced, and costed transformation roadmap.
Transformation Leadership & Capability Enablement
Lead the programme. We embed senior advisors and client-side PMO leadership to drive execution, govern the transformation, build internal capability, and stay accountable to the outcomes — not just the plan.

A methodology built for transformations that need to actually deliver.
The Orion Digital Transformation Evaluation Methodology is a structured, four-stage approach that takes any business challenge — from a single process to an enterprise-wide programme — and works it through a disciplined progression: understand the context, rationalize the need, analyze the right solution, and prioritize the path forward. Bookended by Strategic Objective at the front and Cost & Value at the back, every recommendation is anchored to why it matters and what it's worth.

Inside the methodology: what enterprise transformation actually looks like.
The 5 Ps Diagnostic Lens
Before we recommend anything, we look at five dimensions of every business cycle. Process surfaces the activities, inputs, outputs, and governing policies. Platform reveals the systems and tools in use. People exposes capability and stakeholder dynamics. Physical accounts for the facilities and resources behind execution. Paperwork captures the forms, reports, and documents that move the work. Together they produce a structured baseline grounded in the operational reality — not the org chart.
Three Tracks for Rationalizing the Need
Not every gap needs the same intervention. We rationalize each business need into one of three tracks. Standardization streamlines and harmonizes — eliminating outliers and applying best practice across units. Enhancement improves what's there — introducing breakthroughs to reach benchmark performance. Enrichment introduces new capability — unlocking value the current process can't deliver. The track determines the solution category, which determines the investment profile.

Cost & Value as the Final Gate
Every solution that emerges from the methodology is evaluated on the same three dimensions — readiness of the initiative, complexity of the transformation, and business value at stake. The output isn't a wish-list. It's a prioritized, sequenced, and costed pipeline that leadership can defend, fund, and execute.
Prioritization = ƒ(Readiness, Complexity, Business Value)

Senior advisors. Embedded delivery. Vendor-independent.
We don't sell software. We don't get paid by platform vendors. Our advisors are senior practitioners who have led the programmes they're now advising on — and they stay embedded with your team through delivery, not just the strategy phase. That independence is the product.
Vendor-Independent by Design
We don't take software margins or platform commissions. Our recommendations are accountable to your business case — nothing else.
Senior Advisors, Not Slide Decks
Every Orion advisor has led the kind of programme you're running. The work product reflects the people doing it — not a delivery model that hands the senior name off to a junior team.
Embedded Through Delivery
We don't disappear after the strategy phase. Our advisors stay client-side through implementation, governance, and adoption — accountable to outcomes, not deliverables.
Methodology-Led, Not Improvised
Every engagement runs through the Orion Digital Transformation Evaluation Methodology. The structure is consistent, the rigor is auditable, and the outputs are defensible to any board.
